Ferries to Koh Rong & Koh Rong Sanloem

There are now several companies running ferry services from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem, offering a variety of speed and pricing options to customers. Prices and timetables can vary from high to low season so we advise checking with the relevant ferry office to confirm these details.

Big Speed Ferries: 100-150 passenger, approximately 45min journey time.

Small Speed Ferries: 20-50 passenger, approximately 30-40min journey time.

Slow Ferries: 50-100 passenger, approximately 2hr journey time.

Transfers between Koh Rong & Koh Rong Sanloem

Taxi Boat: Local taxi boats (usually the classic Cambodian longtail boats) can be booked through Adventure Adam and the local Cambodian businesses on the islands or in the villages. Pricing can be dependent on number of people and availability.
Speed Ferries: Some speed ferry full price tickets will allow you one free transfer which can be booked in the ferry offices on the islands. Otherwise the standard cost of a transfer with the major companies is around $5. At the moment the transfer ferry times can change often so please check to confirm before your expected departure.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There are various unpredictable reasons that can cause delays or ferry cancellations, especially during low season so if you have pre-booked taxis, buses or flights after your visit to the islands then be sure to allow yourself time to get there! During high season ferries can fill up quickly so make sure you book in advance if possible and when you are on the islands, ferry companies ask that you confirm your return boat/time 24hrs in advance so not to miss availability.
